WestHydro was founded in October of 1999 by Frank and Mary Dowling, people who believed that hard work, honesty, and treating people right were the foundation of any good business. From day one, they poured love, understanding, and knowledge into every project, always keeping the customer in mind.  Frank wasn’t just known for running a company; he was known for being a man of his word, someone who genuinely cared for his customers, employees, and community.

For over 30 years, Frank managed WestHydro with the same principles he lived by: integrity, reliability, and respect. His approach was simple but powerful, do the job right, stand behind your word, and treat people the way you would want to be treated. That philosophy built more than just landscapes; it built trust, relationships, and a reputation that still defines WestHydro today.

Behind the scenes, Mary was the support and drive that kept the business running smoothly. She consistently did whatever was needed to ensure operations stayed on track, providing the backbone that allowed WestHydro to succeed.

Now, his daughter Tina carries that legacy forward. With extensive experience in business development, operations management, finance and strategic planning, landscaping and hydroseeding, manufacturing, and small business leadership, she brings both expertise and heart to the role. Tina grew up watching what it takes to be not just a business owner, but a good one, the kind who stands by their values and puts people first. Her vision for WestHydro is to honor the foundation Frank built while continuing to grow the company into one of the most reputable hydroseeding providers in the region.
